A builder contacted us regarding some piling works for the foundations for two extensions sharing a party wall. Both clients were looking to extend their homes at the rear of the property, which meant that they shared one of the walls (party wall). The builder informed us that the ground needed piling to support this new extension, so first of all we arranged to visit site to discuss the works. We explained that we would be able to do all of the necessary foundation works, completed to a level that would allow the builder to begin building the new extension.

After a price was agreed, and the builder and both clients were happy with the works we had discussed, we were able to begin works within the same week. We began by excavating the ground for the footings for the new extensions. We installed the piles and beams, to our structural engineers design. Once completed, we contacted the local building inspector and arranged for him to visit site to inspect the works. After he passed the works, we were able to concrete the foundations that same afternoon. Once the concrete set, the builder was able to begin building the extension of our foundations.

Overall, we were able to complete the piling foundations in Standish in a total of 3 working days, including excavating, piling and concreting. On completion, we provided each of our clients with a copy of the structural engineers calculations and our piling log.
