Our client contacted us regarding some foundation work at their property in Congleton. Firstly, we arranged to visit site and discuss the works with the client. The client and I agreed that a piling foundation would best suit for the new conservatory foundations. We confirmed a price and booked the works in to start the following working week.
Following this, we began taking down the old conservatory and excavating its foundations. We were then able to create the foundations for the new conservatory. Once completed, we installed our piling foundation scheme as per our structural engineers design. This included steel cased top driven piles and beams. Next, we arranged for the local building inspector to visit site and assess our works. As a result, he passed the works and we began concreting that afternoon.
Overall, it took a total of five working days to complete all of the works. This included taking down the old conservatory, excavation, piling and concreting works. On completion, we provided our client with copies of the structural engineers calculations and our piling log detailing the depths of each pile.
In conclusion, our client was pleased with the high standard and efficiency of our work. They were looking forward to the building work starting on their new conservatory.
