We were contacted by our client, who was interested in building a single storey extension to the rear of their property. A structural survey concluded that the ground required extra support for the new extension. First of all, we arranged to visit site to discuss the works with the client. We agreed that a piled foundation scheme would be the best option for this project. We began the works the next working day.

We began by digging out the footings for the new extension, following our structural engineers design. We were than able to install the piled foundation scheme to our engineers design. Once completed, we contacted the local building inspector to visit site to inspect the works. He passed the works and as a result we were able to start concreting that same afternoon.

Overall, it took a total of 3 working days to complete all of the works, including all of the excavation works and concreting. On completion, we provided our client with a copy of the structural engineers calculations and our piling log.

In conclusion, our client was happy with the efficiency of our work as they were concerned about there being a large delay on the start of their new extension.
