Piling in Cheadle Hulme
14th February 2025
The team at Basetec Piling was recently tasked with installing piling for a part single, part double-storey extension on Wyngate Road in Cheadle Hulme.
The Piling Project
We were brought in by Dynamic Design & Build to carry out the piling for a residential extension on Wyngate Road. The project took just 3 days on-site to complete, and we worked closely with the client and all project partners throughout to ensure everything ran smoothly.
After an initial site survey and a free quote, we agreed on a piling solution, which was the ideal choice for the project’s ground conditions. Our collaboration included key partners such as JC Structural for the structural engineering calculations, Huws Gray for machine hire, Chorley Concrete for the concrete, and Bradley Building Design Ltd as the architects.
How We Did It
The work began with marking out the area for excavation, where we needed to install the piling. Once the area was identified, we performed a reduced-level dig to prepare a level surface. This ensured that the piles could be driven to the required depth for optimal foundation strength.
We then installed multiple steel piles, reinforcing the structure’s foundation. Steel ring beams were placed on top of the piles keeping everything tidy and ready for the concrete.
Finally, Chorley Concrete poured and levelled the concrete, and once set, the project was completed, on time, and to the client’s satisfaction.
